Quality Inspector Ref:01

Our Inspection department is key to our business; instrumental in ensuring that products are delivered fully and on time from our temperature controlled working environment. There is great potential for development and progression within this role.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily inspection / first offs of precision machined components
  • Complete FAIR documentary requirements and maintain records
  • Report non-conformances & support root cause analysis for corrective action
  • Improvements to departmental process & calibration management
  • Provide support & management of product issues identified by customers & suppliers

The successful Quality Inspector will ideally have the following:

  • Engineering experience (ideally a time-served engineering apprentice)
  • Ability to work to ISO9001:2015
  • Fault finding experience to component level capability
  • Experience in a similar quality role within precision engineering

Candidate should be able to demonstrate –

  • Ability to review and understand technical machine drawings and specifications
  • Using engineering hand-held metrology instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometres, plug gauges etc)
  • Conversant in both Metric & Imperial measurements
  • Excellent understanding of engineering tolerances and surface finishing
  • Operation of precision measuring machines - CMM / Shadowgraph (but formal training can be given)

This is a full time position of 39 hours per week. Ideally, Mon – Thurs 7:30am – 4pm, with a 3pm finish on Fridays but this can be negotiated.

 

Trainee/Apprentice Quality Engineer  Ref:02

The right candidate has completed a basic engineering qualification and could demonstrate their level of competence. Our offer would then be for a full 2 year training program in the relevant disciplines in-house, using live production jobs.

Or this could be a skilled engineer looking for a change in direction!                                                                                        

Main Duties & Responsibilities -

  • Inspect components in accordance with specifications given on machine drawings,
  • Support our engineering team with daily inspections and first offs,
  • Report non-conformances and support root cause analysis.

Further training will be given to -

  • Operate precision CMM machines
  • Complete PPAPs and F.A.I.R documentation

Reporting into the Production Manager, and working in a small, close knit business, the company offers excellent opportunities to progress and rewards those who influence the success of the business as it continues to grow.   • Minimum requirement Level 3 in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Competence with hand held measuring equipment – Vernier, caliper, gauge

CNC Turner Ref:03

We are looking for an experienced skilled CNC Turner preferably with Fanuc Control & Manual Machining experience.

Main tasks involved in an Engineering role would be –

  • Programming / Setting / Operating of Fanuc control CNC Lathe (Doosan Lynx)
  • Good understanding of our customers machine drawings and specifications
  • In process checking own work prior to Final Inspection
